Historical Note
Kenneth Daggett Beckwith was born in Connecticut in 1896. He attended Williams College and Hartford Theological Seminary. He was ordained a Congregational minister in 1924 in Brooklyn, New York and served the Clinton Avenue Church. Other churches served included Westminster, Vermont; Pittsfield, Mass. Pilgrim Memorial Church; and Beverly, Mass. Dane Street Church. He also served as Associate Minister for the Massachusetts Conference. He married Elizabeth Scott Maynard in 1925.
Scope of Collection
This collection contains keepsakes and material from key points in Beckwith's career and a ledger book of vital statistics of parishioners. The ledger covers baptisms, accessions, weddings, and funerals dating from before Beckwith's ordination up to the last church he served before serving as Associate Minister.
