GIVE TO THE CONGREGATIONAL LIBRARY

Support our work to preserve and share Congregational history.

A gift to the Congregational Library & Archives supports the ongoing interpretation and preservation of the Congregational story. With over 400 years of history to curate, your gift allows the library to

  • build on the strengths of our collection by acquiring new items;

  • present in-person, hybrid, and virtual programs to several thousand viewers annually on topics ranging from church archive stewardship to the Salem witch trials;

  • preserve our landmark location and magnificent historic reading room; and,

  • welcome scholars and researchers to explore our collection and add to our understanding of the Congregational story.

Help us launch the Congregational Library & Archives 2025 Annual Appeal.

Inspired by our Religion of Revolution: Congregational Voices on Liberty exhibition, the Congregational Library & Archives is proud to launch our Religion of Revolution Annual Appeal. This exhibition explores the quest for liberty by New England Congregationalists in an age of revolution. We could not continue to highlight stories like these without you.

Support Our Annual Appeal Today

Your contribution to the Religion of Revolution Annual Appeal will help us

  • develop a robust slate of online exhibitions, outreach programs, and complementary materials accessible to all for free;

  • expand our opportunities to preserve, interpret, and present narratives from all places and eras in the Congregational story;

  • provide research fellowships and internships to support interpretation and dissemination of the importance of our collection;

  • create virtual programs highlighting church and research initiatives that reach thousands of participants around the world annually;

  • invest in acquisitions that build upon our collection of early American history and contextualize the impact of Congregationalism on national identity past, present, and future; and

  • offer free access to the general public to visit 14 Beacon Street and view our upcoming in-house exhibition, Congregationalists and the American Revolution (opening April 2025).

The Congregational Library & Archives community is growing, and with your contribution to the Religion of Revolution Annual Appeal you will help us continue to demonstrate that Congregational History Matters.
