The Library now offers tours of our stacks and archive, which are otherwise closed to the public. If you're going to be in town, come on by and let us show you around. Join us for an introductory tour of the library, its history and services. Reservations are appreciated, but walk-ins are always welcome. Please contact Claudette Newhall by email or call 617-523-0470 ext. 229 to arrange the date and time for your visit.
Self-guided
We have put together a booklet entitled "Exploring Boston's Religious History" that will take visitors to our fair city on a 1-2 hour circuit of significant historical sites on and around Beacon Hill. Pick up a tour booklet at the library and go at your own pace.
By reservation
If you prefer to have a guide, historian Peggy Bendroth will lead a group (preferred minimum 5 people) on the same tour outlined in the booklet and add her own insights. Please contact Dr. Bendroth to arrange a date and time.
