Genealogy is a very popular past-time for many people. The library and archives gets several requests every week for marriage, birth and death statistics. It is rare, however, for the library to hold as significant a baptismal record as the one featured here: Benjamin Franklin!
Benjamin Franklin, as you can see, was baptized in January, 1706 at the Old South Church in Boston. The archive is proud to hold the records- both original and microfilm- for Old South.
