Historical Note
The church was established in 1864, their first pastor was Edward Hawes. The congregation remained independent, but had a strong affinity to Congregational Christian denomination. In 1951 the church sold their building and the congregation dissolved in 1953.
Scope of Collection
Collection includes legal, financial, membership, minutes, and ephemera. The bulk material is from when the church closed, bulk dates are 1942-1952. The ledger book in folder 2 was unbound during processing.
