McCorison, Joseph Lyle. Papers, 1925-1968, undated.
Joseph Lyle McCorison, Jr. was born in Ashland, Wisconsin March 4, 1900. He attended Harvard Divinity School and Andover Newton Theological Seminary and was ordained at the Humeston Congregational Church March 5, 1926. He took a hiatus as minister during the 1940s to serve first as the President of Yankton College in South Dakota from 1940-1943 and then as director of the New England Region National Council of Christian and Jews in Boston from 1943-1947. He died in Bennington, Vermont in 1985.

Scope of Collection
This collection consists of sermons, sermon notes, prayers, church Sunday programs, and special event programs. Researchers should note that most of the sermons are coupled with the Sunday program. There is one bundle of newspaper clippings and programs from 1925-1926. The rest of the collection is from the 1960s.
